Obtained by staking TRX. Since the cost isn't that high, regular users rarely stake for it. However, for energy rental business, it's needed.

Transferring USDT on the TRON network requires energy and bandwidth. If energy and bandwidth requirements are met, transfers are basically free.

Energy per transaction: ~66k Bandwidth per transaction: 300+

Without energy, TRX needs to be burned, quite a lot, nearly 10+ TRX. Without bandwidth, TRX needs to be burned, very little, nearly 0.3+ TRX.

So, if you don't want to stake TRX for energy, you can usually make small payments in TRX/Alipay etc., for energy rental.
