How to Use Telegram TData
Introduction
Many Telegram accounts being sold come as a compressed package. When opened, there's a tdata folder inside.
This is the account storage folder for the Windows Telegram official client. In technical terms, it's called: tdata
, td
, direct login account
Below I'll teach you how to quickly use direct login accounts.
PS: This is the usage method for accounts purchased from me, so you'll see various session files. Actually, many shops just sell a lone tdata folder.
Like this:
Operation Steps
1. Extract files to a directory. You'll see something like this:
2. Enter this directory.
By the way, the directory name is actually the account's registration phone number. This example is a +86 mainland China number.
3. Download the official portable version of Telegram client.
Download link: https://desktop.telegram.org/
4. Copy the downloaded "Telegram.exe" file into the directory from earlier
Now the directory looks like this:
5. You can set up global proxy
Of course, if you understand what socks5 proxy is, you can also specify proxy from the Telegram client. (There's a spinning button in bottom left of client, click it to configure proxy; or wait a bit, there's Settings in top right, can also access proxy configuration page there)
6. Double click Telegram.exe in the directory
!! If network is OK and account has no issues, you should be able to log into this account directly. !!
7. Important notes after setup
- Don't do too much with new accounts. Don't join too many groups either (there are limits, recommend not joining more than 5 groups within 1 hour)
- After 24 hours, in new account's settings-privacy, check active devices, kick out any you don't recognize.
- Change the 2FA password
- Most folks have their main account using their own +86 phone number. After buying my account, remember to delete the original number. Use this: https://my.telegram.org/auth?to=deactivate enter the number you want to delete, then get verification code, delete account. Note, this is the only way to "delete" an account. In the client, there's only "log out".
