1Panel vs Baota Panel

These are just personal opinions. No conflicts of interest. Just some thoughts.
TL;DR
Just go with 1Panel
================
Whether to Use a Panel
For formal projects, I never use panels. Servers are expensive, budgets are limited, technical investment is high, panels are optional. For informal projects, I always use panels. They're convenient and quick.
Panel Advantages
- Panels can greatly reduce operational complexity
- Some built-in functions are quite effective
Panel Disadvantages
- Consumes resources
- May have bugs and security risks
- Some details can't be fine-tuned
Baota
Baota panel is quite popular. At first, I even wrote several Cloudflare plugins for it. The problem is, the bt team doesn't seem interested in building an ecosystem.
Advantages
- High market share, lots of tutorials
- Many good open source software deployments have Baota tutorials
- Decent ecosystem
Disadvantages
- Privacy leaks. Yes, I'm using a panel, why do you need my phone number?!
- Various strange payment points
- Poor performance
1Panel
I've been using 1Panel since it was first open-sourced. This Docker-based panel is actually excellent and should be a no-brainer recommendation.
Advantages
- Based on Docker
- Frequent updates (maybe for a reason)
- Visibly expanding ecosystem
- Basic features are free
Disadvantages
- Recently started rushing things. Has low-level SQL injection bugs
- Menu design is very rough. Many places lack logic. Interface narrative ability like a 25-year-old virgin
- Can't set quick access for commonly used functions
- Started charging and trapped paying users
Conclusion
Still recommend using 1Panel. The Docker ecosystem can be quite good. And this company is clearly putting in effort.
